The space industry is benefiting our everyday lives perhaps more than we realise.

The technology underpins a lot of our daily conveniences such as internet access, online banking, GPS, and even our trusted weather forecast.

At the industrial and governmental level, space technology also helps our farmers to monitor their crops, and emergency workers to track bushfires.

But the industry is facing a number of challenges, including manufacturing costs of rockets and launchpads.

There’s also a shortage of sattelite launchers, for example the waiting list to get on board one of Space-X’s Falcon rockets is said to be years.

But an emerging Australian company, Orbit Industries (OI), is about to change all that and solve the problem of launch service availability by creating an on-demand, next-day space launch services.

OI’s launch services are able to sidestep restrictive and costly ground launchpads by utilising standard transport aircraft technology that rockets the payload from mid-air.

Both the space port and launch can essentially be initiated from any airfield that meets both landing and take-off requirements of an Orbit Industries carrier plane.

“You can think about us as the Uber of space,” said Director of OI, Volodymyr Usov, who spoke to Stockhead exclusively.

“How our system works is, using an app customers can order a space launch, then our Air-Launch system will be coming to them and not the other way.”

In other words, the space port will be travelling to the payload, instead of the payload coming to the space port, he said.

According to Usov, after picking up the payload and integrating it to the rocket fitted into OI’s Orbit Boy aircraft, the satellite can be ready for launching into space in as little as 24 hours.

“You typically need a large amount of space to deliver a terrestrial launchpad, and around the world especially in the Asia Pacific, there is a limited amount of space,“ said Usov.

“We don’t require that. The only thing that OI requires is for the the local federal jurisdition to approve the launch of a rocket from 9,000 feet into orbit.”

Directors and Management

Orbit Industries is backed by an experienced board of directors including current Aldoro Resources (ASX:ARN) Chairman Joshua Letcher as Orbit’s Chairman, experienced aerospace engineer Dr Benjamin Kaebe as chief technology officer and Director; and aviation and aerospace lawyer Rebecca Johnston as a Director and General Counsel.

In addition, Orbit’s team comprises Lyubomyr Sabadosh (Managing Director of the advisory board), Volodymyr Usov (Director) and Yurii Alekseev (Founder), who were all former Chairmen of Ukraine’s State Space Agency and have a combined experience of 150 successful launches completed with the agency.

Orbit Industries’ key advantages

OI was formed to facilitate the merger between two Australian companies, Space Industries and Orbit Express.

According to Usov, one of OI’s key technological advantages is that its rockets use solid fuel as opposed to liquid fuel used by Virgin Orbit, which could take several days to fill up.

“In the case of solid fuel, we can manufacture 10 or 20 rockets and put them in a warehouse, and when the customer needs to launch, we simply put it onto the carrier and do the takeoff.”

This eliminates the need for launches to be connected to any land infrastructure, making OI’s aircraft launch model much more flexible.

This flexible system also enables launches to take place in a customer’s own international or military airport, which means that it can execute a fast turnover of launches within just one day.

Capital raising and valuation

OI is currently going through the process of a $3m capital raising with an indicative valuation of $25m.

The capital raising is being led by Still Capital.

Chris Whitehead from Still Capital told Stockhead, “We are raising $3m currently to propel the visionary business and support its next stages of growth and development. Further capital raising along with potential government support and funding will fulfil our ultimate goal of a listed Australian based end-to-end space solution.”

The company has plans to list on the ASX, or go public in the US through a possible SPAC listing.

Funds raised will be used to showcase its first launch, expected in 2024, as the company aims to eventually become one of the leading servce providers for the NASA moon and Mars program.

According to Perth based corporate advisor Thomas Young, the $25m valuation falls way short of other space companies’ valuations seen in the market

“Virgin Orbit raised $500m on the back of a similar technology for a $4 billion valuation without even launching a single rocket, but obviously we’re not Richard Branson.”

He also pointed to a German startup company called Isar Aerospace, which recently managed to raise $91m for a staggering $700m valuation.

Usov concurs, saying that OI’s $25m valuation is a fraction of what the company could be worth.

“There are companies who’ve never launched into space but have $1 billion valuations, compared to OI which already has proven technology,” he said.

“I think we’re sending a great signal to our investors.”

Essential to limit the health damage from Covid-19, the vaccine will not be sufficient to stop, on its own, the circulation of the new coronavirus in the population. In particular, the reduced efficacy of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine – and to a lesser extent that of Moderna -, against the Delta variant, now the majority in France.

In a prepublication posted on August 9 on the MedRxiv portal, researchers from the American university hospital network Mayo Clinic and the data analysis company Nference offer the first comparative and quantified estimate, in real life, of the efficiency of the two messenger RNA vaccines. These data suggest maintaining a high level of protection, greater than 75%, against severe forms of the disease, against Delta.

But protection against infection – symptomatic or not – falls ahead of the variant that appeared in India and drops to just over 40% for Pfizer. The Moderna, much less used in France, retains a high level of protection. The prospect of rapidly achieving group immunity through vaccination alone is thus fading even further.

These figures, not yet formally published, must be considered with caution. But, according to scientists solicited by The world, they are credible and above all consistent with other evidence already available. The authors analyzed hospitalization and RT-PCR test result data from Mayo Clinic, obtained in January and July, on more than 25,000 patients in Minnesota. They then retrospectively compared the health fate of unvaccinated people with those who received two doses, selecting those over 18 and taking into account gender, ethnicity and date of vaccination.

The researchers were thus able to assess the effectiveness of the two vaccines against the Alpha (known as “English”) and Delta (“Indian”) variants, by relying on the fact that in Minnesota the former was largely dominant in January and the second in July. The results speak for themselves. Facing the Alpha, Pfizer would offer 85% protection against hospitalization and 76% protection against infection, with Moderna providing 91.6% and 86% protection against these events, respectively. Against the Delta, the Moderna now only protects 81% against hospitalization and 76% against infection, while the Pfizer retains a protection rate of 75% against hospitalization, but only 42% against the infection.

Dhe US government has accused the Afghan leadership and the security forces of a lack of combat readiness in view of the advance of the Taliban. It was “worrying” to see that the political and military leadership had not had the “will” to oppose the advance of the militant Islamists, said the US Department of Defense spokesman John Kirby, the broadcaster “CNN”. The US could not have foreseen the “lack of resistance” by the Afghan armed forces, Kirby said on Friday (local time) in an interview with the broadcaster.

The Afghan security forces are superior to the Taliban in terms of equipment, training and troop strength and have their own air force, Kirby said. With a view to the financial support of the US government for the security forces, he added: “Money cannot buy a will.” The political and military leadership of the Afghans is responsible for this. Kirby warned that readiness to fight was necessary to prevent the Taliban from taking control of the entire country.

The US embassy in Kabul has meanwhile asked its staff to destroy sensitive material. In a note to the embassy staff on Friday, a building technician referred them to the existing options for incinerating or disposing of documents and equipment. According to this, all objects that the Taliban could “misuse” for propaganda should be destroyed.

The USA had already announced on Thursday that it would reduce its embassy staff and send around 3,000 additional soldiers to the airport in Kabul. According to the Pentagon, the United States is ready to fly thousands of people out of the Afghan capital every day. Kirby told journalists on Friday that the first US soldiers to secure the evacuation operation for US diplomats and other civilians were already in Kabul. The “majority” of a total of 3,000 US armed forces are expected in Kabul by Sunday.

“A doomed practice”

UN General Secretary António Guterres has meanwhile called on the Taliban to stop their violent advance immediately. “To usurp power through military force is a doomed practice,” Guterres told journalists in New York on Friday.

“It can only lead to a prolonged civil war or the complete isolation of Afghanistan.” He hoped for an agreement negotiated with all parties to end the conflict. He is very concerned about the situation, said Guterres. “Afghanistan is getting out of hand.”

As a consequence of the advance of the Taliban, the German government decided to reduce the staff of the German embassy in Kabul to the “operationally necessary absolute minimum” over the next few days. Foreign Minister Heiko Maas (SPD) said on Friday in Denzlingen, Baden-Württemberg. A support team will be sent to the Afghan capital immediately.

The embassy staff would be flown out with charter planes, Maas said. Afghan local staff who used to work for the armed forces or federal ministries or who still work for them today would also be flown out. Two charter flights were planned for this by the end of the month. These would now be preferred, said Maas. He confirmed that the visas for the local staff would be issued in Germany in order to speed up the process.

“We will coordinate all further measures with our international partners in the next few days,” said Maas. He called on all Germans to leave the country immediately. A high double-digit number of German citizens are still in the country.

Denmark and Norway are temporarily closing their embassies in Kabul. All employees of the Danish embassy will be evacuated, including local Afghan employees, as the Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod said at a press conference in Copenhagen on Friday afternoon, according to the Ritzau news agency and the DR and TV2 broadcasters.

Canada plans to take in up to 20,000 refugees from Afghanistan. “The situation in Afghanistan is heartbreaking and Canada will not stand idly by,” said Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino on Friday (local time) at a press conference in Ottawa. Canada wants to take in “particularly vulnerable” Afghans who are still in the country or who have fled to neighboring countries.

According to Mendicino, the admission offer is aimed in particular at women in management positions, government employees, human rights activists, journalists and members of persecuted minorities. Some planes with asylum seekers from Afghanistan have already taken off.

Canada plans to take in up to 20,000 Afghans

Brentford 2-0 Arsenal

Buts : Canós (22e) & Nørgaard (73e) for Brentford

74 years later, Brentford holds his revenge.

While the last game in the elite of Bees, in 1947, had been a loss to Arsenal at home, Brentford did not miss his comeback to the Premier League in the face of his executioner of the previous century. In front of a excited audience, the “Bees” have made Gunners their first victim at the opening of the new season. From the start to the end of the meeting, the promoted left possession of the ball (35% against 65%) to a London team (lessened) who did not know what to do with it, breaking their teeth on a Brentford collective completely reassembled and impeccably welded.

A sharp direct game, a high pressing intermittently led by Bryan Mbeumo and Ivan Toney: everything succeeded at the new club of Yoane Wissa, who remained on the bench. The opening of the scoring of Sergi Canós, the wagging right piston, came in the 22e minute after a missed clearance from Calum Chambers. Powerless, the Gunners have resumed their habits of last season by rarely managing to break through the opposing block, the only detonator being the new London number 10 Emile Smith-Rowe. Brentford’s second goal will put stars in the eyes of fans of Iceland 2016, as it was after an interminable touch that midfield soldier Christian Nørgaard was able to conclude with a furious header. bearing (73e). Arsenal’s latest assaults will not change anything: the Bees de Brentford recited their score perfectly until the final whistle.

And have proven that they will be able to bite more than one this season.

Brentford (3-5-2) : Raya – Ajer, Jansson (Sörensen, 71e), Pinnock – Canós, Onyeka (Bidstrup, 80e), Nørgaard, Janelt, R. Henry – Mbeumo (Forss, 86e), Toney. Coach: Thomas Frank.

Arsenal (4-2-3-1) : Leno – Chambers (Tavares, 83e), B. White, P. Marí, Tierney – Lokonga, Xhaka – N. Pépé, Smith-Rowe, Martinelli (Nelson, 71e) – Balogun (From, 56e). Coach: Mikel Arteta.

As the first Bundesliga club, 1. FC Köln will only allow vaccinated and convalescents into its stadium from the second home game. A negative test result is then no longer sufficient for access. The decision sparked a discussion on uniform restrictions on stadium visits. The managing director of 1. FC Köln, Alexander Wehrle, explained the move on Deutschlandfunk with the club’s responsibility to those who would like to go back to the stadium. The approach that recovered and vaccinated people come together in the open air and in compliance with a hygiene concept enables planning security and a full stadium, said Wehrle im Dlf. The feedback from fans is positive.

Wehrle is also a member of the executive committee of the German Football League, representing the interests of clubs from the first and second Bundesliga. Vaccination is the decisive factor back in a changing normality in dealing with Corona, said Wehrle. All 36 clubs in the DFL agree on this.

The interview in full:

Jörg Münchenberg: Mr. Wehrle, only those who have been vaccinated and recovered are allowed to come to the 1. FC Köln stadium for home games. Why this tough measure?

Alexander Wehrle: First of all, there are of course exceptions. The 6- to 16-year-olds and the fans who are not vaccinated for medical reasons will still be able to go to the Rheinenergie-Stadion with tests. But we discussed long and hard and we already have a responsibility to the many, many FC fans who have been vaccinated and who also expect solutions and measures from us so that we can experience a full house in Cologne again in the future. That’s why we decided to do this for the second home game.

But you shouldn’t forget that politics is actually already pretending (at least in North Rhine-Westphalia) that with an incidence of over 35 – and that’s where we are clearly in Cologne; we are today at 50.4 – of the 16,5000 that will then be approved, 15,500 have already recovered and must be vaccinated. That means, either way, only a thousand fans are allowed who could come with a test. If you subtract the children, the 6- to 16-year-olds, and those with medical reasons, then there would not be much left for people who are allowed to come in with tests.

“Sport and culture need planning security”

Münchenberg: Nevertheless, politicians did not want to take this step so far as to agree on compulsory vaccination. Are the federal and state governments too hesitant in the end?

Wehrle: I think we almost all agree that without a significant vaccination quota we will get into difficulties – not just organized professional sport in Germany or culture – but the danger would exist if we didn’t get a significant vaccination quota that we would then Shimmy from lockdown to lockdown, and that’s not a perspective either. Because culture, sport, but also other facilities really need perspective planning security and our approach is that we say that if convalescent and vaccinated people are outdoors, with a distance, with a hygiene concept, with the traceability of the infection chains, then it has to From our point of view, it may be possible to have a full house again in the future.

Münchenberg: Have you already received feedback from the fans?

Wehrle: Yes, of course! We wrote to all 25,000 season ticket holders on Friday and a discussion has already started. Fortunately, however, we get positive feedback. We have 113,000 members and so far 71 have decided to terminate their membership or have announced it. Of course, we also enter into a dialogue with them, because every dismissal hurts. We try to explain our reasons again in detail. But in proportion to 113,000 members and 71 terminations: When we fire a trainer, we always have between 250 and 500 terminations.

“Expectation that the players will be vaccinated”

Münchenberg: A clear vote. Mr Wehrle, the question again: Now we’ve talked about the audience – what about the players? Can 1. FC Köln only allow vaccinated players to go on the field?

Wehrle: The fact is that we vaccinated almost all of the players. It’s a personal decision, of course it’s also an individual decision for the players. But we said it clearly – and the players know that too; Christian Seifert, the head of the German Football League, commented on this in a letter to all clubs – that the expectation is already there when we want to get into the game where there are no more transfers, that the players will then also be vaccinated should.

“Don’t just stick to incidence as a reference variable”

Münchenberg: Now 1. FC Köln has advanced. The other clubs are much more cautious. Wouldn’t it have been much better if a uniform approach had been agreed in advance?

Wehrle: Basically, a uniform approach is always good. But we also held talks beforehand, including with politicians, and then we decided internally that we wanted to set this standard because we have a responsibility to those who would like to go back to the stadium. We’re limited now. Politics dictated that. Of course, we also want politicians – we have clearly communicated this – that we can not only stick to the incidence as a reference value in the future, but that the hospitalization rate and the vaccination rate are also converted into a new indicator if possible. We would then measure a full load with 2G by this. That is why we hope and wish that at least the next Corona Protection Ordinance – not the one on August 19th from the federal states, but the one afterwards – will no longer only depend on the incidence. I think Baden-Württemberg did it yesterday. The incidence is no longer a reference value. But in perspective we will have to add other indicators, because one thing is clear: the stability of the health system is paramount. We as football do not want to demand that we have 2G and a full house if the intensive care units overflow. Therefore, from our point of view, the hospitalization rate is a very, very important point. That is why we say not only the incidence, but also that has to play a role in the context of 2G.

Open cafe with guests at the Neuer See in Berlin (Imago / Stefan Zeitz) (Imago / Stefan Zeitz)Which parameters for evaluating the pandemic will be important in the future?
The seven-day incidence of new infections is an important criterion for assessing the pandemic. In the future, other parameters should be given more weight.

“Vaccination is the decisive factor”

Münchenberg: Mr Wehrle, you still have both hats on, you are the managing director of 1. FC Köln, but you are also on the Presidium of the Football League. The question arises: How controversial is the topic being discussed there?

Wehrle: All 36 clubs agree and we discussed this at the last DFL general meeting that everyone is promoting vaccination. Vaccination is the decisive factor back in a changing normality in dealing with Corona. A lot of clubs are doing campaigns and measures, including on Sundays. There are two vaccination stations, one in cooperation with the vaccination center of the city of Cologne, one with the AOK, so that everyone can be vaccinated. Because the problem is – the head of the health department in Cologne told me – half of all new infections in Cologne come from 19 to 29 year olds. And not because the 19 to 29-year-olds are anti-vaccination, but because there is still an obvious belief that you won’t get an appointment, that takes forever, you have to log in at night, I saw that with my parents. No! Anyone can get vaccinated. Here, too, the message of football applies and all 36 participate, get vaccinated. Only in this way will we come back to a changed normality in perspective.

“Every club has its house rights”

Münchenberg: They say that is the message of football. But still the question arises: Why can’t the clubs agree on a uniform approach, so that some don’t rush ahead like 1. FC Köln and others say we’d better wait and see?

Wehrle: Because of course the regulations in the countries are different. In North Rhine-Westphalia, for example, the rule of thirds that I described earlier applies to over 35, with the 16,500. Because of federalism, we are set up differently in the countries. It is therefore difficult to get a uniform regulation from the individual clubs, because everyone has their house rules and everyone has liability issues within their house rules that need to be taken into account. Of course, some season ticket holders who are vaccinated have also confronted us with it, do you do something or do nothing about the full house, because in the end everyone, every member or every season ticket holder can pursue an individual constitutional complaint. So there are a few things to consider.

A few days ago, on the official website of NASA, there was a message saying that the US space agency is looking for volunteers to participate in an annual, simulated “Martian mission”. As you might have guessed, getting a chance in such a project is not an easy thing for people without appropriate education, skills and experience.

In terms of education, a minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited university in fields of study such as engineering, mathematics, biological, physical or computer sciences is required. Additionally, the volunteer must have at least two years of professional experience in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or a minimum of 1,000 hours of airplane piloting.

Volunteers who have completed PhD in STEM, medical studies, or have flown a thousand hours but on experimental airplanes will also be considered. The US space agency is looking for healthy, non-smoking US citizens or permanent residents, between the ages of 30 and 55 (maximum age limits), who are fluent in English so that communication between crew and mission control occurs without unnecessary language problems.

The mission, which is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2022, is about simulating life in the distant world that Mars is undoubtedly. Candidates as crew members will be forced to live for a year in the “Martian base” on Earth, mapped in such a way that the effects of trying to live on The red planet brought the most effective results and made it possible to prepare even better for this most important mission.

NASA will watch how individual units react to the life of an enclosed space. The mission series “Crew Health and Performance Exploration Analog” covers three one-year simulations at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. The missions are also intended to help develop various methods and technologies to prevent and solve potential problems in future, real flights to Mars or the Moon.

Each of the three missions will include four crew members living and working at a 158 square meter 3D printing base called Mars Dune Alpha. The crew’s tasks will also include simulated space walks, research or, for example, the use of robots. The results of these activities will provide extremely important and valuable information needed to refine the systems and develop solutions to possible problems.

Before the Martian journey takes place, however, NASA scientists must master the safe way to carry out such lengthy missions. If there are no delays due to the slow progress of preparations for the Artemis program, the first astronauts should first appear on the moon in 2024, and then, based on the program’s experience, on Mars.

After the farewell of Edin Dzeko, who arrived in Milan in the last hours to become a new Inter player, Tiago Pinto’s mission to London continues to identify the heir of the Bosnian striker: the one chosen by the Giallorossi sports director is Tammy Abraham, for which Roma has already reached an agreement with Chelsea. It remains to convince the player, who also has a proposal on the table from theArsenal and at the moment he would prefer to stay in the Premier League. However, the young striker of the Blues is not indifferent to the proposal of the Giallorossi and to the possibility of being coached by Josè Mourinho and on this he will push Tiago Pinto in a new meeting with the footballer’s agents. However, it is difficult for a definitive answer to arrive: Abraham is still thinking about it and so the intention of the Giallorossi sports director is to stay in London to closely follow the evolution of the situation and do not leave until the player has decided his future. Tiago Pinto’s hunt continues in search of the new Roma forward.

Although Abraham remains the priority (and for which the Giallorossi club has already reached an agreement with Chelsea on the basis of a loan with redemption obligation set at around 40 million euros), Rome is considering alternatives for the post Dzeko. Among these there is Matheus Cunha, Brazilian born in 1999 owned by Hertha Berlin, who likes Atalanta. Also on the list Rodrigo Muniz, born in 2001 for Flamengo: the Brazilian striker, however, is close to Middlesbrough after he was one step away from Fulham. Finally, not to be excluded the idea Lacazette, even if there has been no contact. All names that Rome will evaluate only in the event that the negotiation for Abraham does not go through.

BACK TO SCHOOL ALLOWANCE. For some beneficiary households in Mayotte and Reunion, the payment of the 2021 back-to-school allowance has already started, but what about the others? Date, amount, conditions … The Internet user takes stock.

[Mis à jour le 13 août 2021 à 17h48] The payment of the back-to-school allowance has already started on August 3 in Mayotte and Reunion Island. This aid aims to help the most modest households to finance the expenses related to the start of the school year, whether it concerns the purchase of school supplies or even clothing. According to the Ministry of National Education, nearly 3 million French families are thus affected by the back-to-school allowance. But how can you benefit from it? For households with at least one child in school (schoolchildren, students or apprentices) between 6 and 18 years old, the allocation of this allowance is set according to the number of children and their age, but also according to the resources of their parents.

As an example, you will receive € 370.31 for a child aged 6 to 10, under certain conditions (income must not exceed € 25,319 in 2019 for a household with only one child). In mainland France, but also in Guyana, Martinique and Guadeloupe, the payment of the 2021 back-to-school allowance will be made on August 17. Children attending kindergarten and young people over 18, even if they are still in high school, are not concerned.

The back-to-school allowance is generally paid a few weeks before the start of the school year, in mid-August (early August for Reunion Island and Mayotte). Confirmation arrived on Friday July 30 via a press release from the Ministry of Solidarity and Health. The payment started on mardi August 3 in Reunion and Mayotte. It will be from Tuesday August 17th for mainland France but also Guadeloupe, Martinique and Guyana. These dates are similar to those of previous years. In 2020, the payment of this re-entry bonus reserved for low-income households was made on August 4 in Mayotte and Réunion and on August 18 for mainland France.

The amounts of the back-to-school allowance differ according to the age of the child. Three amounts corresponding to three age groups have been defined by CAF. Each year, they are revalued. Here is the one that was recorded on April 1, 2021:

In the exceptional context of the coronavirus (Covid-19) health crisis, the government had decided to revalue the amounts established last year. A family with a child aged 6 to 10 could thus receive 469.95 euros. Will these same amounts be renewed? Nothing has been announced in this direction, which therefore presages a return to normal in 2021. In Mayotte, the amounts are as follows: 372.17 euros for children enrolled in primary school, 392.70 euros for those in primary school. college and 406.31 euros for high school students.

Yes ! The site of the Caisse centrale de la Mutualité sociale agricole (MSA) gives access to a simulator, here. You must indicate the amount of your household income, as well as the number of dependent children and their respective dates of birth. You will then obtain an estimate of the amount of your back-to-school allowance.

To benefit from the back-to-school allowance, household resources must not exceed a ceiling. The CAF does not study the income for the current year, but those dating back two years (so 2019 for the start of the 2021 school year), depending on your family situation on July 31. Here, as an indication, the scale that applies this year:

If you do not meet the income conditions for the 2021 back-to-school allowance, in other words if your resources slightly exceed the ceilings set out above, the Caf may pay part of the back-to-school bonus. This is referred to as a differential back-to-school allowance. The Caf may agree to pay the re-entry allowance, provided that the resources are lower “than the cumulative amount between the ARS ceiling and the amount of this aid for the child”, we were told. On the other hand, the home therefore only receives part of this financial assistance.

Who can receive the 2021 back-to-school allowance? Until what age?

Your child must be between 6 and 18 years old. You cannot receive the back-to-school allowance if your child is over 18 and still in high school. To benefit from the back-to-school bonus, your child must also to be educated in a public or private establishment.

The allowance can be granted when the child follows courses via a remote organization such as Cned. On the other hand, the Caf excludes families who have opted for home schooling. Is your child under 18 and learning? You can receive the ARS, provided that its remuneration does not exceed 55% of the minimum wage.

On alternating care, can I benefit from the 2021 back-to-school bonus?

Your child is between 6 and 18 years old, you meet the conditions mentioned above, but you are separated from the father or mother of your child? The back-to-school allowance cannot be shared between the two parents. Financial assistance is granted to the first of them who applies to the Caf, and in full, for the upcoming school year. It is therefore paid, as for any beneficiary, in mid-August. If there is no joint custody, the re-entry bonus is granted to the parent with whom the child lives during the week. The other parent cannot collect the help.

The steps to apply for a back-to-school allowance depend on your situation and the age of your child. In some cases, you do not have to take any preliminary steps, the Caf automatically takes care of the payment. Here are the situations that may arise:

“The 3.3 million families eligible for Pass’Sport will receive a letter during the summer of 2021, with the letterhead of the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports, informing them that they benefit from this aid. 50 € per child “, we can read on the website of the Ministry in charge of Sports. The process is then very simple: all you have to do is present the letter when registering for the sports association. This will then allow you to benefit from “an immediate reduction of € 50 on the cost of membership and / or license”.

Note: do not delay too long to use this boost. The expiration date has been set for October 31, 2021.
